Delayed post and oh-so-worth the wait!

🎉 I hit my goal, my target, my Vision Board plan, my intention: I rode 35.34 miles, in 3 hrs: 23 mins on this sunny, 95ºF day.🚲!!

I rested and recovered yesterday and the day slipped by without a post….oops.

This morning at 9 am, I met a group of riders who planned to ride around White Rock Lake (twice for some) then enjoy a brunch.

Well, I did it: I rode with a group of riders, once around, keeping up with them, stopping at the brunch place only to introduce myself and extend my gratitude for the camaraderie, then I headed home, along another set of trails. Unfortunately, I pushed STOP instead of RESUME on Strava, so I had to start over for the ride home.

Anyway, I’m happy, fatigued, and pleased with my progress aboard my bike. Two years ago Mark bought me a bike and I’ve made it my mission to overcome my fears and sense of being a “non-confident bike rider.” Now, the affirmation I use is I’m a good bike rider and getting better.

Stay well. Stay healthy. Stay positive. Set goals.

Aloha🌺,

Denise

This is the circle-up huddle for the riders. Everyone split into three groups: Slowcials, Medium speed, and FAST, based on speed of riding.
This is our group of seven (7) at the half-way point. Bravo to Sandy our leader, and group participants Deb, Marilyn, Daniel, Larry, Theresa and me.
