The new normal… so JFIO

The new normal for a while: Stay at home. Wash your hands. Cook your own meals. Enjoy your family time. Watch movies. ‘Marie Kondo’ your house! Bust out those long-forgotten hobbies. Reach out to friends (the phones still work!) JFIO (Just figure it out!)

My April #Camino2020 has been postponed. I’m not walking on the Camino de Santiago next month….but rather, hopefully, in September 2020.

The warnings were clear and decisive; I appreciate and honor them. Yes, I’m disappointed, yet I know this means a few more months of training and preparing, and a clearing out of germs for the pilgrims, volunteers, and hosts along the Way.

I have two great ideas for this quarantine time:

  1. ALL movies should be accessible online for the duration so we stay educated and entertained.
  2. ALL social media should be accurate, light-hearted, and colorful as it’s the window to our world. No more political rants, only photos of your current views, new recipes, funnies, and what’s going on in your homes.
Be creative and generous

We’re all in this together. This breakdown will turn out terrific breakthroughs. I’m staying positive and optimistic. Imagine the stories we can tell, the photos we can snap, the future trips we can plan…

Stay well!

Denise
