What happens when you’re genuine and say, “Hello.”

The best way to make new friends is to be yourself. My Mom used to say, ” To have a friend, is to be a friend.”

I love meeting new people with a similar mindset and vibe. It’s always nice exploring personalities. It’s also wonderful learning new things from others: You don’t know what you don’t know.

Sometimes you meet a person and you just click – you’re comfortable with them, and you can just be yourself. Shout out to the wonderful people I’ve met once and still keep in touch with! ((Mary D.,  Jin W., Laurie M., Charlie A., Janet P. to name drop a few.))

Yesterday was such a day. As I was halfway into my 6.36-mile walk, I stopped to ask a woman cyclist what street/bridge was above us. She kindly answered me. That question started our twenty-minute conversation about trails, the City, work, and cycling. We exchanged mobile numbers and promises to meet up again. She even texted me to ensure I made it back to my car and shared a bike maintenance place! Thank you, Julz, you sweet lady! There are over seven million people in Dallas. I feel strongly that I attract the best ones.

As your life changes, so will your circle. It gets bigger!

I’ve been in self-quarantine for seventy days only leaving for exercise and groceries. I’ve seen my Mom, my MIL, and my friend Beth. I look forward to my circle growing as I explore more and meet people. I know my high-school reunion is planned, so reconnecting with those friends in imminent.

My affirmations: I am grateful for the abundance that I already have and the abundance that’s on its way to me now.  I am overflowing with happiness.

My M.O: saying ‘hello’ wherever I go, writing about it, and sharing with anyone interested in listening.  I found this article in accordance with me:

The only people I want in my life are the ones who truly want me in theirs. I’ll keep growing my circle, my tribe, my framily (friends I choose as my family).
