“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~ Beattie
I believe gratitude makes what you have, better; what you’re eating, taste richer; who you choose to spend your time with, more enjoyable and your outlook brighter.
My friend gave me a “gratitude” jar with the instructions to write down things/events that happen throughout the year and that I am grateful for, and place them in the jar. Then at the end of the year, read them and re-live them. I’ve begun the jottings and the jar is filling up! I am very grateful for my friend!
Having my expat community around me, I am happy, comfortable, secure and most grateful for the friendships and advice.
How are you doing on your “gratitude” jar?
Aloha,
Denise
