While visiting the Sultanate of Oman, we stopped at the Souq, near the port, in the old part of the city. Walking through the narrow walkways, smelling the oud, hearing the call to prayer, smiling gratefully at the salesmen add to the charm of this lovely city.
The vendors sell purses, shoes, shawls, dishes, fabrics, perfumes, shiny souvenirs and jewelry. What they don’t realize they are selling is their warmth and generosity.
