Out with the old, in with the EXTRAORDINARY

As we begin a new year, we bid “adieu”, “au revoir”, “adios”, “ma’a salama”, “good-bye” to last year and its gains, losses, ups, downs, etc.

I wrote down my goals for 2014, shared them aloud, and my plans to attain them. Then,  I wrote down the things I choose to forget, eradicate, close from the past year and threw that paper in the ceremonious “burning bowl” trash can. I invite you to do the same.

What I’ve learned from the past year is this:

  • There are great people, interesting foods, wonderful sites and adventures everywhere. Once you’re open to them, they appear.
  • If you say hello, you may make a new friend. If you ask, you will find a new grocery store, shopping center, museum, an island paradise to discover, the best tour operator and fun, new adventures .
  • Given a choice, it’s better to join the group, be on the committee, accept the ride, try the pink food, sign up, take the walk and hug a stranger.

I’ve learned all this and I think I’m better for it ALL. I’m ready for another extraordinary year.

How are you doing so far this year?

Aloha,

Denise
