We started our day in front of Marina Mall, a hot spot for fun, food, fashion and the Big Red Tour Bus.
Mom chose the top of the double-decker bus and a cold water bottle from the built in fridge. We plugged in our headset and settled in for the day-long tour of Abu Dhabi island and off-island sites.
Main Sites visited:
Sheikh Zayed Grande Mosque ~ with its Italian marble, hand-made carpet, 1000 columns, fabulous tour guide and magnificent minarets.
The Central Souk ~ shopping place for authentic souvenirs.
Back to Marina Mall for a visit to the Gold ATM machine.
We ended the day around 5:30pm informed, enlightened, happy and exhausted.
