This city is made up of neighborhoods each with a distinct name and street number. Some have three names ~ yikes. Taxi drivers are wonderful, as they know all the names and all the places.
Our street has no name….it’s referred to as “the Spinneys street.” That’s because the Spinneys grocery store is on this short street, that only goes from the Corniche (beach side street) to its cross street, 7th, a.k.a. Sheikh Zayed the First Road, 500m.
The neighborhood is called Al Khalidiyah, named for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalid Al Nahyan.
