Last night, Mark and I learned exactly what “Panto” is and enjoyed the production of “Peter Pan” in that format! NOTE: it’s not pantomime. It was wonderful, entertaining, lively, clever and colorful! I highly recommend this genre of theatre.
According to the show’s director, Panto is most commonly performed as an audience participation genre, and this production did not disappoint. The crowd went wild! The actors, community members who love to act, sing, dance and dress up, were outstanding! Our friends Jon and Jayne were fantastic as Hook and Tinkerbell, respectively.
Another NDB for us: Panto theatre. Those British people really know how to have FUN!
