The joys of meals

The first meal I made for my Mark was canned tuna. He looked at it and said sweetly, “Where’s the hard-boiled egg?”  Oops, I didn’t know I was supposed to hard-boil the egg!!  Well, I’ve learned how to cook over the past thirty-two years of wedded bliss.  Living in five different United States and one lovely Middle Eastern country, I’ve added quite a few dishes to my repertoire…and haven’t made a big mistake in years!

I share this because last night my friends from overseas, who have also recently repatriated, shared a fun thread with me of foods of the moment….i.e. dinner. Here’s how it went: (names abbreviated to protect the innocent)

Our meal was grilled salmon, roasted broccoli & asparagus and green salad. It was so good, I forgot to snap a photo.

Meals are fun and so are the happy, dirty dishes.
