Three (3) things to boost community:

  1. Open a large, fancy-ish bar of chocolate for dessert at a dinner party. This invites everyone to have some sweet treat after a meal. You can take as much or as little as you want. It’s not a big commitment. Most everyone enjoys chocolate ~ choose a dark chocolate with sea salt and a white chocolate. No baking required.
  2. Have a chili cook-off or a pasta night or a taco bar dinner party and invite your friends, neighbors and newbies to the neighborhood. This type of evening gets people out, cooking, talking and sharing. You can even print your recipes to share. Go around the table and tell a “story” about chili, pasta or tacos. Embellishing is optional. ;)
  3. Movie/Film Club and Book Club are great ways to meet new friends and enjoy entertainment time. Once a month you can get together and enjoy a film or book, discussion and a coffee.

Tip: everyone is a stranger until they are a friend.
