To document one’s memories, experiences, and stories, one needs a place to write. I received such a place in the mail. My darling friend, Laila, sent me a beautiful, leather-bound journal with pages just itching to be filled up with ink, stories, and inspirations.
Many people enjoy using a journal and writing by hand. I enjoy both. Do you?
I learned that Matthew McConaughey wrote in journals for thirty years and that yielded his book, Green Lights. Then there are Sylvia Plath (1932-1963), Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862), Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910), and Taylor Swift (1989-present), to name a few, who also kept/keep journals. Derived from this blog, my book, Just say, “Hi!” A world beyond Hello, puts me in pretty good company.
Therefore, I will use this journal to document my next adventure: Our Shakedown Tour of 2024.
