Alaskan cruise with Mom

Blue and white; to many’s delight.
So many staff, makes me laugh.
Food never stops; bars always hop.
Faces: some friendly, some not.
Beautiful ocean fills my soul up.
Time with Mom- a real treat.
A gift & this time: grateful to repeat.

Our server is Yoga,
Bali’s his home.
His smile warms our hearts, like the foods under his dome.

Juneau:
We traveled by tram,
On the cable that ascended;
To 1800’ seeing the port and trees bended.

Juneau, AK

At sea:
A bald eagle flew by,
We saw it so close;
Too busy ooohing to capture photos.
The days end for us
After hours of fun.
I confess: I’m quite a lucky one.

At sea:
Today was special for sure:
We saw, close up, Hubbard Glacier.
Sat on deck, under a blanket of wool;
Fresh air, sun, and sky azul.
Fab dinner, magic man;
Dual pianos played 70s then danced with Mom.

Sitka:
Walter, our boat captain, showed us the Sitka Sound.
Sea lions, sea otters, eagles: Oh wow!
Mom went to nap, shop, or relax;
I chose to head to the Crow’s Nest in fact.

Time for dinner, HH first.
Escorted to dinner by ship’s Beverage Manager Praseep.
How do we do this!?!?

Ketchikan now: Misty & mysterious;
Trees: green & enormous.
A nice walk to look around
This is a lovely town.

Ketchikan, AK

At sea:
Another day: sun & sea I see.
Many activities, mostly deck 3.
Officers lunch, but he didn’t show.
Still nice people & salmon, you know.
Gentle breeze, sure does please.
Sunshiny ocean, captures my imagination.

Victoria:
Disembarkation to Victoria, James Bay.
Horses Dolly & Barney clip along in a steady way.

Flowers vibrant, plentiful.
Emily Carr… famous Canadian.
We passed the straight of Wandapuka.
I so want to return to ya!

Victoria, BC

Seattle:
Back in the US,
Great trip for sure.
Made memories with Mom,
Had good laughs with her.

What else I learned and confirmed: When I stay present in each moment, I attract more great things and people to my life, and the greater my life becomes.I am astoundingly fortunate.
