Birthday weekend —the After effect

The birthday celebration extravaganza was a complete triumphant success. I had FUN and I’d say our guests did too. The two parties were smashing: Friday we welcomed our friends to meet and mingle whilst enjoying passed tapas and creative cocktails then progressing to a variety of Tex-Mex delights. The fabulous caterer was https://twosisterscatering.com/ and I highly, highly recommend them!

Saturday we enjoyed a sunny day, a city walk, some football on a 104’ tall screen, and friends. The main event began close to sunset and my HH really outdid himself. The venue, http://www.thequixoticworld.com/ offered FUN and photo ops at every turn. We ate Texas BBQ from the amazing Ten50 BBQ https://ten50bbq.com  which is outstanding and enjoyed cocktails and six different whiskeys.  I was quickly whisked into a queen’s throne chair to be entertained by my friends Susan and Patrick, who sang together, an original song, while Patrick played the ukulele.* words below.  Friends Maureen and Tim took to the stage to detail how they see me as an energizer bunny, listing attributes starting with each letter. Others told stories of our meeting places and adventures we then shared.  Finally the desserts were served and the dance music started ~ I didn’t stop dancing until it was time to say ‘good night’ to everyone.

Sunday, along with our friends Beth and Rick and went to see the Van Gogh exhibit. It was a walking/reading tour of his life and his paintings. Again, so FUN to be with friends, learning and loving life.

The AFTER effect: My heart is so full!! I’m so grateful and fortunate to have extraordinary people in my life, who I call framily. FRAMILY: the friends I choose as my family. I’m SO glad I said, ‘Hi!’ to all of them.

Stay well. SAY ‘HI!’  Stay curious. Stay connected. Have FUN every day!!

Aloha🌺,

Denise
