Challenges come in many forms: positive and challenging. I lean toward the positive ones, creating my own manner of ‘winning the day.’
Over the past 46 days, I virtually rode my bicycle, ran, and walked from one end of the Colorado River to the other along the Grand Canyon in 44 outings. It was a challenge I took on to hold myself accountable for my exercise, health, and overall mental wellness. My goal was 280 miles in 84 days. (see www.theconqueror.events/grandcanyon) The outcome was positive and exciting. I won the day!
I’m a lover of warm weather, that’s not a secret. I’ve lived in some hot places: California, Hawaii, and Abu Dhabi and never complained or kvetched about the warmth. Now, back in Texas, I am experiencing Winter and its cold, windy days. While I love Texas in the Summer, I can’t say I’m loving wearing coats, gloves, and scarves. To me, that is a challenging challenge. However, I overcome my distaste by wearing purple.
Starting each day with a positive mindset is the method to my madness.
How do you maneuver challenges? Any tips and tricks?
Stay well. Stay warm. Stay challenged.
Aloha🌺,
Denise
