What a FUN event. I donned my sweatshirt, took a center bleacher seat, and readied my camera for the bedazzled action.
I watched as a few of older kids (7-14 yrs old) skated in their heats, then it was time for the tots. The four-year old who I’d come to see took the ice. Her smile, from ear-to-ear, outshone her neon pink Route 66 sparkly outfit! She was adorable, steady, and charismatic. I went on behalf of her grandfather, a Dallas friend, and he seemed pleased when I sent him the pictures.
I love doing interesting and original things. When friends are involved, my heart is fuller.
