My “Mom day” was rerouted yesterday when my mom called to cancel our lunch date. She’s fine but woke up not feeling well.
Plan B: Tara’s in town so we did a “Mom day” just she and I! We went to lunch, then piddled around town until it was time to come home to make dinner (my famous eggplant parm + brussels sprouts + GF garlic bread.)
Our after-dinner plan included a DART trip up three stops to Deep Ellum where we took a seat at the bar, in front of Jacob the beertender/host at Westlake Brewery, (www.westlakebeer.com), and played Music Bingo. (www.hitmixbingo.com ) If you’ve never heard of it, it is a FUN and exciting take on the classic game of bingo, with songs replacing the numbers on a bingo card. Both Tara and I won and we walked home cradling our winnings. I am happy to report that the hundreds of times I watched Disney movies, helped me win the Disney round!!
