DREAM BIG. BE GRATEFUL. SHARE LOVE. LAUGH LOTS.
I have to admit, these are mantras I tell myself daily. I live by the Have FUN everyday mantra. This weekend brought so much love, joy, gratitude, and FUN into my heart.
Mark and I went to the Dallas Gun Club to meet up with our dear friends Jen & Jeff’s daughter, Tori, and her fiancé, Martin. We learned about Helice, the shooting activity that’s related to skeet, and requires excellent speed and hand/eye coordination. Then, after paying the weekend entry fee of $10, we went to a beach (in Little Elm, TX) to sit on the water’s edge and watch the people, boats, and jet skis while the sun peeked in and out of the clouds. NOTE: this just after a fast-moving heavy rain. https://www.littleelm.org/201/Little-Elm-Park
As the sun began to set, we made our way to the venue to meet a group of my high school friends to watch one of our classmates play bass guitar in the live band. The band, The Sand Dogs, played non-stop for three hours (maybe taking one break). We sang along, danced in our seats, laughed, and talked until we realized we still had an hour’s drive ahead of us to get home. We had a wonderful night.
Shared times like these fill my heart and confirm how important connections are to me. I utilize social media to keep in touch with my friends and am grateful for discovering these activities. No one is ever too far away…
