As 2020 comes to a close, I looked back at my accomplishments this year. Let me be clear and authentic here: my 2020Vision Board looked a lot different from real life.
- I moved to a new city into a two-month, stay-at-home quarantine. I’m not good at staying inside, yet I made the best of it by watching movies with my Tara, cooking new recipes, improving my online shopping skills, and learning how to conduct Zoom calls
- My Camino 2020 trip and 35th Anniversary cruise were both canceled so I learned to let go of control, resentment, and disappointment. I now view these trips as postponed and will reschedule when it’s safe
- I drove to St. Louis and Little Rock to attend three weddings. All were safe, beautiful, and oh-so-FUN.
- Enjoyed socially responsible reunions with friends
- Emily came for a visit
- Completed two virtual fitness challenges: 130 miles and 280 miles (running + biking) and the Susan G. Komen LIVE More than Pink run
- Hosted our moms for Thanksgiving at a beautiful restaurant
- Declared Tuesdays as Mom Day (taking my mom out for lunch weekly)
- Updated my Vision Board to include patience, specific trips, and prosperity in every aspect of my life
Cheers to new friends, old friends, and becoming friends.
Whatever I experienced in 2020, I will carry on in a positive way to 2021 and beyond.
Thank you, dear readers. I appreciate you!!
Aloha🌺 and Hau’oli Makahiki Hou🎉!!!
