Have FUN every day!! That’s been my life mantra for about 60 years!! I love to have FUN. I look for FUN everywhere. I seek out other FUN makers. I share this to inspire: wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, however life turns up for you, have FUN in it.
I turned in the keys to my parents’ independent living apartment yesterday afternoon. How did I find FUN in that??? I gifted each of the top four staff members, who have known my parents for five years, a nice bottle of vino. “Cheers” to my Mom and Dad and the FUN they had there.
Empty Nesters have holes: holes in the family home where kids were; and holes in our lives where our feisty parents were. It’s part of this journey and the natural progression. I choose to find joy, strength, FUN, and inspiration from those holes.
