Here’s a firery metaphor

We bring our fire pit to a lovely, roaring blaze almost nightly. We use a fire starter log on the bottom, then carefully and mathematically arrange the pecan and oak logs over it. Once the starter log does its job, the logs begin to catch fire too and voilà, we have our warm blaze.

To me, this is a life metaphor, and I’ll explain. We start loads of things in our lives and most require some “starter” of some kind. Either it’s school, the starter for a career, great guides to “start” your journey on the high seas, terrific friends to “start” life long relationships, or a fire starter log. You can add more.

These fires give us a few hours to reflect, plan, and review. We get deep into our conversations and make efforts to heal, grow, absorb life lessons, and do better.

What will you start today!?

Aloha,

Denise
