I know that in 42 days my youngest daughter will walk across a big, decorated stage and accept her diploma from high school. My mommy job will end as she settles into her chair and her evening dinner party, then to the airplane that takes her to college.
I know that my eldest daughter will graduate from her college with an associates’ degree focusing on the Arts and continue to live, work and play 13,839 km away.
I know that as “empty nesters” Mark and I and will live like we did 21 years ago: as DINKS (double income no kids). We’ll both work, enjoy the weekends and travel as much as we can.
I also know that life is rolling along exactly like it’s supposed to: one fabulous day at time.
I know that I’m blessed beyond words and grateful for it all.
