A new 6-acre city park opened in Downtown Dallas this week, after almost two years under construction.
Carpenter Park has the first public outdoor basketball court in Downtown, a dog run, an interactive fountain, environmental play elements for kids, gardens, walking paths, public art, and plenty of green grass to ‘ground yourself’ and do cartwheels and yoga on, and sit and people watch.
There are also many security guards and police patrol officers keeping the space clean and safe. They are friendly and FUN: they were enjoying the fountain and grass alongside me.
