I love watching the Oscars, or going to an Oscar party, or hosting an Oscar party. This year, was no different. Although this year it was a party for one, I enjoyed texting my friend Reneé, to relive our party with lamb chops and fancy dresses, and my daughter Tara, regarding the dresses, subtitles, movies we’ve seen, and Julia Roberts’ gorgeous smile.
What I loved about the 91st presentation of the Oscars was:
- The colorful clothes this year. So many yellow, pink, and red dresses. AND, Spike Lee wore purple!!
- NO host! I liked the pretty voice introducing the presenters. Nothing divisive, no inside jokes, just presenters, singers, and winners.
- The classy “thank you” speeches, albeit too long at times, were sweet, classy, heartfelt.
My sincere congratulations to the winners: Rami Malek, Mabrook; Lady Gaga, Congratulazioni; Olivia Colman, Jolly Good; and to all the others, Congratulations from this movie lover and appreciator of your work.
