I have a hand-made frame in my closet that my darling friend, Mary, made for me. The braided gold frame surrounds the words, “Never let anyone dull your sparkle.” The word sparkle is in purple sparkly font. I looked at it this morning with new eyes.
I broke a rule, a term of condition, a protocol. I sent 34 almost identical messages to high school friends, some I was connected to on Facebook, and some I wasn’t, yet we still were classmates over 40 years ago. As a committee member for our 40th reunion bash next month, I reached out to those people via FB messenger with a gentle reminder about the event. That was my crime and my punishment is being banned from Meta products, Facebook and Instagram.
Realizing that I cannot send birthday, anniversary, or Happy Aloha Friday messages to my friends literally all over the world, I must brush myself off and come up with a new plan to connect with friends. I will NOT let Meta dull my sparkle!
This blog will continue to be uplifting, positive, and FUN. The show must go on!
