Taking turns organizing a GNO is essential to a woman’s peace of mind, R&R, and friendship time. Last night, my friend Cecilia organized our get-together at the Electric Shuffle in Deep Ellum. (https://electricshuffleusa.com/dallas/) There are only four locations worldwide, and we’re lucky to have one within walking distance!!
The beautiful exposed red brick walls welcomed us, Beth, Jamie, Cecilia, and me, into the bar area whilst we waited for our reservation time. Ushered back to our electric shuffleboard table illuminated by neon lights, a high-tech computer system, and crystal clean windows, our ‘hostess’ explained the rules, OOG*, and most importantly how to order food and drinks via a call button.
Teams were computer-generated and we took turns playing the fast-paced games. The food was delicious and creative, and Gluten-Free!! (We ordered, shared, and completely enjoyed a Margherita pizza on cauliflower crust, charcuterie board, and fried zucchini chips.)
As the DJ played music that increased in volume, we made our way to the next two places until our evening concluded in hugs.
Keep exploring and sharing! Friends are the gifts we give ourselves. Yes, it’s that important!
Aloha🌺,
Denise
