We ventured out to see some sights and we scored:
First Monday Canton Trade Days: a huge flea market/swap meet in Canton, TX, about an hour from downtown. First Monday Trade Days is a monthly flea market held in Canton, Texas. The market is actually held on the Thursday through Sunday preceding the first Monday of each month. It purports to be the largest and oldest continually operated flea market in the United States and is a highly popular event in the area. Check it out: 800 First Monday Ln, Canton, TX 75103
We walked around admiring all the hand-made goodies and the vintage items. We happened upon a wonderful, generous, gorgeous woman who gifted us a freezing cold bottle of water AND an icy cold washcloth for our necks. She was dripping in JOY and generosity.
After a couple of hours there, I wanted to see some water. So we headed to Two-Acre Lake, 410 Arnold Paul Rd, Canton. It was beautiful and oh-so-good for my soul.
Our uninterrupted holiday included deep conversations with my HH whilst floating in our pool, then I cooked hot dogs on the grill, and we walked down to the AT&T District to see the band. A lovely day was had by all.
