The phrase ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’ refers to the importance of adapting yourself to the customs of the people who are in a certain place or situation and behave like they do. Ergo, I acquired a shiny new library card from the main branch of the Denver Public Library!!
I chose the best design for my card, IMHO:
As an avid audiobook reader, many times I read my limit at any one library. This way, I’ll have another library from which to borrow more books. This is another example of insinuating myself into community. Libraries also have wonderful programming, some are even FREE to patrons.
I find the people here (Denver, CO) to be helpful and friendly. Shout out to Meg who administered my card in professional and neighborly manner.
What will the neighborhood provide today?!?
Aloha,
Denise
