In ~1993, Mark met and worked with a terrifically friendly and hard-working Bulgarian man called Mitko. I met him too and enjoyed his stories and his outlook on life.
In 1999, he married the beautiful, intelligent Colombian dentist Lina in Florida, a wedding we attended.
Last night, after 23 years, we met up with them for dinner during their Dallas/Ft. Worth college visits. They look and sound the same; they’ve earned more professional degrees, raised two kids (we met their son), and traveled the globe. Our worlds lined up perfectly for this visit. Another full circle with friends.
Living, traveling, working, and loving people are cornerstones to meaningful relationships. One of my favorite things to do is reunion with people from our past. To do this, communication and desire are needed. I strive for both and celebrate its fruition.
