Optical illusions and visual delights

This weekend is another big party! This time, it’s the Riverfront Jazz Festival, which kicked off last night in the quad of the AT&T Discovery District. The lively, well-broadcast sounds of drums, singers, trumpets, and saxophones drifted through the streets as musicians played and revelers danced and sang. The rest of the weekend’s musical performances will be held at the convention center. More restaurants are opened inside The Exchange making it a great place to eat and relax.

There’s always FUN in the neighborhood. A good walk will reveal these gems.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” queried the late, great writer Mary Oliver.

Another cool site was standing directly under the Bank of America tower as the green lights began to illuminate the imposing skyscraper. Look closely at these pictures and you can see the optical illusion created by the windows and structure.

Discovering new festivities, sites, sounds, and smells in our own neighborhood fill my heart with joy and makes our evening constitutionals even more FUN.

Stay well. Stay curious. Stay connected. Have FUN every day!!
