In 61 days, I’ll begin a new decade. I’ll begin new adventures. I’ll try more new things. I’ll take on new projects. I’ll still be silly me.
My Bucket List is getting shorter as I live life livelier. Turning every moment into a lively moment is my goal.
Every walk is a great walk: it’s an opportunity to see something new, meet someone interesting, taste something different. Over the weekend, we walked through a car parts swap meet and met Jack and Lori. Jack taught us about paracord: there are seven cords inside the outer colorful shell. Each one can be used individually or as a whole cord. I loved his stories and his life attitude. His wife is battling cancer and he remains cheerful and helpful and insightful. Then we met Lori who taught us about safety gloves: some have Kevlar, some are tinted for certain jobs, some are high visibility, and some are made of soft, kid leather. People are great and taking a moment to chat enriches my life.
Our Sunday walk in the neighborhood revealed two light rail stops that are convenient from our apartment to the heart of the FUN neighborhood of Deep Ellum. We also discovered a lovely restaurant featuring clever twists to brekky foods as they serve brunch all day. I watched, spellbound, as the bartender made drink after drink for the beautiful customers coming in to enjoy the a/c and food on this fine day.
Stay well. Stay curious. Have FUN every day!!

Denise
