We enjoyed a very relaxing day in our hooch: laundry, reading, and a short grocery store run. The plan was to relax until 9 pm, when we head out to see the elusive Marfa Lights.
We arrived there ( it’s a short 20-minute drive from our place), set up our chairs, trained our binoculars on the first star we saw, and waited. After a few minutes our eyes adjusted and darkness revealed trillions of stars. After a few more minutes, the Milky Way presented in spectacular fashion. Alas, after two hours, we did not see anything resembling green orbs, so we packed up and went home.
I had FUN sitting outside, wishing on more stars, being with the man I wished for, and enjoying the sky. Yes, I was disappointed we didn’t see the lights, but few people ever do. I still had FUN. The stars REALLY ARE big and bright in Texas!!!
Aloha,
Denise
