In German, the word Vorfreude – (n.) means joyful anticipation.
Today, I joyfully anticipate a lovely bike ride before noon, then joining my former bosses and one of my mentors at a virtual conference on mental well-being (https://neveralonesummit.live/?fbclid=IwAR3R0_paPWVN7FyG2dtuBi6XlLACRmz4fH_srvqmUUSINZoqlorgOf7KZ7o). My vorfreude continues as we welcome our STL cousin, Wendy, to Dallas by taking her to our fav burger joint (https://jakesburgersandbeer.com) then showing her our neighborhood.
True joy comes from within and shows without. (I declare poetic license.)
It is with vorfreude that I welcome today, this weekend, new experiences, and all the joy my heart can hold.
