Three week countdown has begun

In three weeks, we say “a hui hou” to our apt building where we have thrived for the past four years. Arriving two days before the COVID lockdown, staying inside for two months, then exploring the quiet downtown streets, I have LOVED living here. I’ve ridden my bike all through the city from here. I’ve hosted parties, Girls Nights Out here, watched big sports events here, cooked many meals, enjoyed many “ kitchen dance parties,” and slept in total silence and darkness. I’ve been very happy here.

This is the whole apt. during move in week.

At the end of this month, we will begin our nomad, home-free, slow traveler life. We will stay in rentals and hotels and friends’ homes. We will put many miles on our car. We will live our best life out on the wide open spaces. We plan to learn, explore, and grow in depth of character. If we find ourselves wondering, “where to next?” we will ask for suggestions.

Here’s our first planned adventure of the Shakedown Tour of 2024 a.k.a. Denise and Mark’s Excellent (Nomad) Adventure

Travel is a terrific educator. My new school is now in session.

Aloha,

Denise

P.S. Lessons and people may be sources of my next book. Stay tuned…. More later.
