As the UAE celebrated its 42nd National Day, here’s how I saw it.
The community rallied for at least a month to put up street lights, flags, banners, lasers, buoys for boat & jet ski races, barges for fireworks, balloons, streamers, bandstands, beach games and more. This city was in full regalia of green, red, black and white to match its flag.
What I saw over the two-day party was happy people sharing their heritage, pride and joy with everyone.
I have a warm, happy, joyful feeling and I’m proud to be in this community.
