Rewind. Now look.

Rewind. It’s 1968 and I’m in First Grade. I learn to read, do math, do some science experiments, do sports, and make new friends. Fast forward to Third Grade. I met my friend Robin, who’s a steadfast friend to this day. Move ahead to Ninth Grade. I saw a guy running towards a closing door, leaping over furniture to slide into the room before the ‘click’ of the doorknob, and said a silent prayer that he’d notice me.  Boom, it’s Twelfth Grade and I have new friends, learning new skills and subjects, and college is looming. I chose Texas A&M University and in four years, I completed my B.A. in Foreign Languages, inspired by the language teachers I had in that first school.

Now, look. I’m deliriously happily married to that guy for 37 years. I’m 60, back in Dallas (where this all began), living my BEST life with that AWESOME man. I visited the school this week and emotions flooded me. I had goosebumps on my arms and tears in my eyes. I saw buildings that triggered memories, and photos that warmed my heart because of the lessons those people taught me.

My life is certainly a blessing, a string of miracles I created. Everything in my path, since First Grade, led me here. Gratitude floods my veins and fills my heart.

I invite you to take a trip down Memory Lane and see what occurs for you. Be a magnet for miracles.
