Riding on the Swiss Ave of Dallas

I chose to ride my bike to the Hot Onnit exercise class: a combination of plyometric exercises, weights (a mace, a kettlebell, and bands), kickboxing moves, abdominals, and planks. What I discovered only last week has become a favorite addition to my regimen.  I enjoy the energy of the class (people do say “Hi!” in this studio), the terrific teacher, Alex, and the gorgeous new studio only three (3) miles from our apartment. With my yoga mat strapped to my back, I rode across the historic, enormous tree-lined street of Swiss Avenue to my destination. (https://www.blackswanyoga.com)

Amazed at the trees and the size and architecture of the homes, I slowed my pace to take in the beauty. Noticing the historical markers, I realized this street has significance in Dallas.

Within each block was a different historical marker explaining the manors, the land information, and the previous tenants. I love learning the history of my hometown.

Before class and after the ride, I enjoyed a coffee from a cute coffee shop at the end of the shopping center.

Remember to explore where you are. You may be surprised by what you find.

Aloha,

Denise
