Today is SO FUN Saturday: two days after Thanksgiving, and one day after ‘Black Friday.’ This is the day we begin celebrating the upcoming seasonal holidays vigorously.
Twinkle lights spiral up trees; giant inflatable figures are arranged on lawns and atop buildings; pumpkins are tossed in lieu of reindeer and snowmen, and parking lots are overflowing with eager shoppers.
Our walks are getting colder, so we’re bundled up and seem to walk faster. Sometimes we see mistletoe high up in the trees, so of course, we have to kiss under it. We discovered a new-to-us rail to trail, the Chaparral Trail, in Farmersville, TX, that is mostly paved within the city, tree-lined, and lovely for a long or short walk. Thank you, Lexi, for sharing this trail with us.
This time of year also includes warm and generous invitations to dinners, happy hours, and nightcaps. I’ll say ‘yes’ to them all. I love to be with my FRAMILY*.
