As we walked up Elm Street, we entered the classic, historic, colorful, entertaining neighborhood of Deep Ellum. The history of Deep Ellum can be traced back to the late 19th century when it was settled by former slaves as a freedman’s town after the Civil War. Though the area was originally called Deep Elm in reference to Elm Street, it was pronounced “Ellum” by residents, and the name eventually stuck.

We met our friends at the Electric Shuffle for our CNO (couples night out.) Entering the exposed red brick building, we were greeted by friendly hostesses, then a knowledgeable bartender, and this happy, holiday-celebrating man, Rayshard Keys. His Insta page is lifeofthefire_rdk, for those who scroll over there too. People like him make celebrating (anything) more FUN!! I love his energy, his smile, and his terrific disposition. My friend Beth is also a FUN-making creator!!
We played our games, enjoyed our yummies, and laughed non-stop! #truefriends The holidays are way more FUN when FUN people do FUN activities in FUN environments.
Cheers to more FUN in the world!! Go hunt places and people who bring joy, love, and FUN to your life.
Aloha🌺,
Denise
