This was a FULL weekend of color, people, reconnecting with school friends, football and Christmas-to-come.
We attended an important milestone event on Saturday, a Bar Mitzvah, where a boy becomes a man and can participate in the Jewish services and rituals in the eyes of his community. The service was wonderful and he led the service in with poise and deportment. We also saw many friends from our Greenhill days, which was fun because we haven’t lived in Dallas in 37 years. NOTE: we all got to bring out our finery too.
That night, the celebration was over-the-top showcasing a gold and gaudy the theme. The decor, the music, the attire, the ‘merch’ table, the balloons didn’t disappoint.
On Sunday afternoon, we wandered down to our ‘backyard’ to watch the second half of the Dallas Cowboys game on the 104′ screen. The Boys didn’t disappoint…Big win, to be sure (43-3). I also took notice of the huge blue & silver Christmas tree and ornaments.
I am most grateful and thankful for all the joys and people in my life. At this time of year, I am more vocal about my thankfulness and invite others to do the same. Write down and say aloud what you’re thankful for. Spread the colors of joy around with your smiles.
Stay well. Stay connected. Stay curious. Have FUN every day!!
Aloha🌺,
Denise
