The end of Summer is not here yet

Over the weekend, the temps in Dallas teetered in the high 90s and low 100s….thus proving that Summer is not over. While vacationers enjoy one last trip, brides and grooms celebrate in the lovely wedding weather, I enjoy another day in a pool: it’s not over. According to my sources, the autumn equinox marks the end of summer and the start of fall. In the Northern Hemisphere, that’s usually Sept. 22 or 23. So, let’s celebrate the hot sunny days for a couple more weeks!

I read Gretchen Rubin’s book, The Happiness Project, with glee and delight, looking forward to making more lists (she does that too?) to ensure every day is efficient and FUN. Over the weekend, I took a page from her book (and her app) and as we were walking our city streets, I ticked off (and photographed) as many of the items on her scavenger list as possible.

Here’s the list:

Cheers to a new week, new activities, new richness, and new discoveries. Go find cool stuff where you live. Feel free to share with this community.

Aloha,
