The many ‘colors’ of me (and you)

What we do during the day, sometimes defines us. What I think about us doing during the day enhances us. We are so many things to so many people: wife, husband, daughter, friend, cousin, etc. And we are doctor, lawyer, teacher, salesperson, Chief Cook and Bottle Washer, Chief Happiness Officer (my personal title) and student. The more we learn and do things, the richer our lives become. Travel factors into this philosophy too… travel is a great educator.

I’m thinking of all I do and how rich my life is. I’m thinking of my friends scattered all over the globe, literally, and how each of them enriches my life. I’m thinking about the places I’ve visited and lived in and how that’s shaped me and taught me so many valuable lessons.

What I know to be true is our lives have meaning, a timestamp, and value. Correlate this with daily activities, thoughts and see how colorful your life is. Taking an inventory of my week thus far, I’m delighted with the new things I’ve done and the new people I’ve met. My week at a glance: won tickets to a concert, exercised at my school gym, toured downtown Kirkwood, joined a yoga studio, walked with a full backpack to yoga then walked home, attended a lecture on distilleries in MO and painted a canvas, then attended an International Day festival sampling foods from Greece and Albania. All that and it’s only thursday!!

Remember: Have FUN everyday! Shine your light. Be colorful!

Aloha🌺,

Denise
