Three (3) tips for today:

Three (3) tips for today:

  1. Today is Yom Kippur, the day of atonement for Jews. To those who observe, I wish you and your family an easy fast and meaningful Yom Kippur! G’mar chatima tovah. According to tradition, the first Yom Kippur took place after the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt and arrival at Mount Sinai, where God gave Moses the Ten Commandments. Descending from the mountain, Moses caught his people worshipping a golden calf and angrily shattered the sacred tablets. Yom Kippur is the holiest day in Judaism and Samaritanism. It occurs annually on the 10th of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar. Primarily centered on atonement and repentance, the day’s observances consist of complete fasting and ascetic behavior accompanied by intensive prayer and sin confessions.  The significance of the day: Atonement and repentance to God for personal sins; sealing of one’s fate for the upcoming year.
  2. As you meander around your city, enjoy the myriad pumpkins and Fall decor. Here in Dallas, the Historic Farmers’ Market (920 S. Harwood) showcases a plethora of pumpkins at the annual pumpkin patch thru Oct. 31st. These are some of the varieties you’ll find:

3. Be present to your family, dear friends, your health, and all your blessings that brought you to this day. That’s where the magic is.

Be present. Make magic. Wish big.
