We met him in April of 2023. My HH and I went into a new place in Deep Ellum, the Neon Kitten. They served wonderful Gluten Free dim sum sampler platters, so my HH and I took a seat in the overstuffed furry chairs and watched people and ate and enjoyed our day. I went over to meet the owner and general manager and express my gratitude for the GF choices on their menu. The day passed and we had FUN!
This week, I craved tacos (what else is new?) so we went over to our fav, Revolver Taco Lounge. (revolvertacolounge.com) Our server, bartender, and totally a great guy, with loads of wonderful experiences to shared, was none other than Scotty, one of the management team from the Neon Kitten, which is no longer in business. Scotty’s face revealed that he did remember us from the NK, and that I ordered many dim sum sampler platters. After I enjoyed my tacos, we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him, as we spent a long time at our table, exchanging stories.
Meeting people like Scotty makes life full and rich and exciting. People are faces until they’re your friends, BAM! I highly recommend this place.
Just say, “Hi!” to people: your server, your bartender, your driver, the people in your neighborhood, and the people who you meet each day.
