Last night we were treated to a live performance of a dozen singers at the NYUAD Black Box theatre. The singers sat in a semi-circle surrounding the director who was also a singer and guitar player. The musicians: a cello, violin, drummer, electric guitar and bass guitar sat along the wall behind the singers. The talent was mind-blowing and truly wonderful! Each singer sang pieces solo and together as they interpreted the story of the novel: Parable of the Sower.
After the show we dined in a “floating restaurant” near the ocean on sea bream, soft-shell crab, pomello salad and prawns. Our friend chose the restaurant and it complimented the evening perfectly.
Wonderful beginning to our clean slate, new life and new adventures.
Aloha,
Denise
