You are / I am the gift we give and get, not just at the holiday season, but every day, for every year. I’m enjoying seeing old photos of holidays, trips, friendships, and weddings on social media. I’m reminded that I have friends from elementary school, high school, college and all the places I’ve lived. While I don’t see many of those friends often, I know I can phone them up and chat. That’s a great gift! I miss my friends and the specific FUN we shared and I’m grateful to have them in my life.
You are / I am what people look forward to. When you have or attend a party or gathering, you are the gift. Your wonderful self. So go, enjoy, reminisce and make new memories. Put on your bold lip color on your beautiful smile and be your fabulous self.
I’m thinking about how lucky I am to have extraordinary people in my life. That is the gift I give myself.
