A FUN-filled, family & food weekend

I filled up the entire weekend with FUN: Friday night was our Stay-cation. We stayed in a historic hotel (where my senior prom was held in 1980) on the 19th floor! (www.fairmont.com) We dined outside under a yellow umbrella on classic foods and beverages. (https://docbsrestaurant.com/locations/dallas/) Kudos to our server, Diana, who was attentive and lively.

We began our Passover weekend under sparkly lights and a patio with out-of-town family and yummy Tex-Mex foodstuffs. The evening welcomed our family Sedar around a gorgeous table centered by a huge representative family Sedar plate, pink tulips, candles and personalized Sedar plates. The foods were traditional and fantastic: matzo ball soup, gefilte fish, brisket, kugel, green beans, and cakes and brownies and a peach pie!

Our Sunday began at a table: breakfast tacos for me! Then, my HH and I dropped by to see another out-of-town cousin before we ventured to Keller, TX for an event that didn’t hold up to the hype, but offered a nice walk in the sunshine. We did stop in Grapevine, TX to explore Main Street, and found a cool shop that sells only soda pop and candy!

All in all, we saw lots of family (for the first time in a long time) and ate well. At the end of the day, my FUN meter was at the limit! Serendipity is a great part of my life…it makes life FUNner!!

Stay well. Stay curious, Have FUN every day!

Aloha🌺,

Denise

NOTE to my grammar friends: I know there’s no such word as funner, yet it gets my point across and I love making up words.
