Back to ‘normal’

I’ve never been what most people define as ‘normal.’ I like to explore, be silly, create FUN (especially out of not fun situations), and beat to my own drummer. So today, on this third day of the new year, I sense that things are getting back to ‘normal.’  The holiday season is over: the grocery store started displaying Valentine’s candy; in my home, we’re settling back into our comfortable routines. I’m doing ‘normal’ things: errands, tidying, scheduling.  But inside me, I’m doing my own normal.

This new year promises great adventures and many unknowns. As I begin my serious #Camino2020 training, I will head outside with my loaded backpack and walk….and walk. I’m looking forward to what ‘normal’ looks like from the local Katy Trail then to the streets, paths, and mountains of France and Spain. (see past blog posts about #Camino2020)

Walking will be my ‘normal’ activity for the next few months. I will think, read (audiobooks), sing, and be present to my surroundings.

I’m filling my soul. I’m doing my own brand of ‘normal.’
