This fabulous find is an eclectic store owned by a woman veterinarian to showcase her love of all things colorful, wonderful, and furry. Second Chance Treasures is a volunteer-run thrift shop selling donated antiques & collectibles (brand new and gently loved) to benefit homeless pets.
I saw the sign as I made a U-turn on Garland road and had to pop in. My oh my am I happy I did. There is something for everyone, every occasion, in every color, and in all price ranges. Colorful, organized, classy, warm, cozy, and altruistic, this place is a must-see if you’re in the Dallas area. Walking through many brightly painted rooms filled with expressions of the owner’s joie de vivre whilst listening to soft classic rock music made for an enjoyable experience.
The finale: my purchases were carefully packed in a pretty, heavy-duty carrier bag. No plastic grocery bag here! Class acts all the way!
