Here’s some known and unknown

Known: Tara and I drove to Dallas, via Tulsa, on Tuesday, arrived in Dallas on Wednesday. We brought with us a week’s worth of clothes and precious mementos. We’ve unpacked and are settled into our new apartment. We took the DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit (metro train)) up to Bed, Bath & Beyond to buy some household items needed to complete our move-in. We enjoyed the adventure and all it invites for later explorations.

Unknown: I’m scheduled to walk the 500-mile Camino de Santiago in a month from today. About 3000+ people walk it monthly, over 200,000 annually, according to several sites. It’s been a pilgrimage since the early ninth century and will be there long after the COVID-19 virus. Today, I’m unsure if I’m making the trek this year. For the safety of the volunteers, other pilgrims, restaurant owners & workers, etc., I must follow the CDC and the local governments to see what’s next.

A new city invites new walking adventures. I’ll keep up my ‘training’ by walking around our new neighborhood and in the fabulous gym in our building. NOTE: There’s a huge bottle of Purell at the entrance.

Stay well, safe, happy & properly informed. Beware of cybercriminals who prey on panic.

Aloha,

Denise
